We are pleased to announce that through the Lutheran Social Services Office of Immigrants and Refugees, "Newcomer Orientation" is being held at the Sioux Empire Safety Village. During this two week class newcomers to the United States are being taught basic social and life skills such as how to get a job, how to pay a bill, rent an apartment, clean, cook and provide for the safety of their family. This is the second time in the last month that they have brought 20+ immigrants and interpreters out the WH Lyon Fairgrounds for these classes.
This brochures covers safety information for all rooms within your home. It includes good tips on children's rooms, bathrooms, inclement weather, fires or burns in the kitchen, and garage safety.
